The Industry Observer Awards

HOW TO NOMINATE

Whether it comes to an unknown act or a global superstar, one constant remains:
there’s always more than meets the eye.

From the A&R Manager who fought tooth and nail to sign an act only they believed in, through to the marketing team doing their utmost to have that act enter the charts at #1, there’s an altruistic team working behind the scenes to get that radio play, support gig, festival spot and that #1 chart placing.

That’s who The Industry Observer Awards are shining a light on. The Awards will recognise those that stand behind the artists and celebrate their genius, dedication and creativity.

Judged by an elected jury from the music industry, each category will have seven judges to ensure all
nominations are fairly considered and completely objective.

The inaugural TIO Awards will consist of a sit-down dinner with drinks and canapes included. It’s set to take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Tuesday 27th March 2018 to reflect on and recognise the standouts from 2017.

The tickets will be sold on a first come, first served, basis. Attendance is open to the general public and industry alike.

NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN

To nominate please head to: https://theindustryobserver.com.au/awards/nominate/

The TIO Awards were created to recognise the incredible industry figures in Australasia; all award winners must have some activity in either Australia or New Zealand.

TIO welcomes any person to join the nominations process; they can send in their nominations from anywhere in the world, and nominate as many times for as many people as they like.

TIO encourages people to self nominate to ensure nothing in your submission is left out and you have the best chance at being shortlisted.

How the awards work

How shortlisting is decided

Shortlisting for each award will be decided by a jury comprised of Seventh Street Media’s CEO and Managing Editor, as well as a representatives from ARIA, AIR, APRA and AAM.

How winners are chosen

Each category will be judged by an independent panel of seven music industry leaders from seven different music companies. No two categories will have identical panels, and no panel member is able to judge a category where there is a conflict of interest.
