UNIFIED & The Hills Are Alive have joined forces on THAA Records

With 18 consecutive sold festivals under their collective belt, there’s clearly something special about the spark between The Hills Are Alive Group and UNIFIED.

The masterminds are officially joining forces again to announce the launch of the brand new label, THAA Records. To kick things off, they’ve unveiled that the first two signings are electronic producer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist LANKS and the hauntingly enigmatic singer/songwriter BATTS. Both artists are set to drop their debut albums in 2018.

Watch The Hill Are Alive’s Co-Founder and Co-Director Aidan McLaren discuss THAA Records

“THAA Records’ vision is to be one of Australia’s most respected and sought-after record labels with a solid reputation for identifying, signing and developing incredible emerging Australian artists and taking their music to the world.”

“When we started The Hills Are Alive festival 10 years ago it was all about building a platform for artists we loved to get exposure by playing to a super receptive audience. Over the years, so many of the acts we’ve put on the festivals have gone on to have amazing careers and release incredible songs and albums, and we’re really proud that we were involved so early in sharing their music with music lovers.”

A&R for the label will be directed by singer/songwriters  Timberwolf and Mike Waters, Aidan McLaren and the current programmer for The Hills Are Alive and NYE on the Hill festivals and manager of celebrated hip hop artist REMI.
