The Industry Observer launches airplay charts

As part of its overall objective to service the Australasian music industry, The Industry Observer has launched a free-to-access airplay charts portal.

TIO‘s charts portal consists of five weekly Australian radio broadcaster charts (Hit, KIIS, Nova, Triple M and triple j), as well as one overall weekly Australian Radio Chart (filtered by impacts).

The six charts are updated every Friday morning and include label marketshare.

TIO‘s airplay charts are compiled by Radiomonitor, the industry standard airplay monitoring service, which monitors music airplay across 150 locations in Europe, Canada, South Africa, Australasia and the Middle East.

The launch of TIO‘s charts portal follows requests from record labels, managers and the wider industry for free localised airplay data.

Seventh Street Media CEO Luke Girgis said:

The Industry Observer’s primary objective is to arm music industry professionals with more tools, information and analysis so they can make more informed decisions with their day to day business.

“The radio charts are a natural progression in delivering this to our audience and it has been one regularly requested in all our meetings with labels, managers and the wider industry,” he added. “We are so pleased to team up with Radiomonitor in delivering this service and look forward to working with them closely in delivering the benchmark for Australian radio charts.”
