FBi’s Stephen Goodhew teams with Gang of Youths’ manager for new label venture

Mirror Music Group, the local management firm which includes Gang of Youths and Middle Kids on its roster, has launched a label.

Announced by themusic.com.au, Mirror Records’ A&R division will be lead by ex-FBi Radio Music Director Stephen Goodhew, who’s also taken on the role of Artist Manager at the MMG.

Based in Sydney, Goodhew will report to New York-based MMG Director Kurt Bailey.

“I believe he has some of the greatest ears and taste in the country, and has made a huge impact on Sydney culture and community at FBi,” said Bailey.

Goodhew left his post at FBi on January 20. He joined the community broadcaster seven years ago as an intern, eventually working his way up to Music Director in 2013. Goodhew was replaced by FBi host and volunteer Amelia Jenner on January 23.

As reported by themusic.com.au, MMG is set to add two new signings to its roster next week. Its current stable is: Gang of Youths, Middle Kids, Fountaineer, Clea and Brightness.
