Caroline, Universal Music Group’s label services division, has inked a distribution deal with singles-focused label IHC 1NFINITY.

The LA-based label launched in 2014 under 18-year-old youth culture brand IHEARTCOMIX. It took a little over a year off between releases, having previously dished out singles for Australian singer/songwriter Chela, electronic artists Mark Redito and Pictureplane, and pop artist Gavin Turek.

In partnership with Caroline, the label will now release six digital singles a year, including remix packages, a music video and signature album art.

As part of its new approach to storytelling and music, all releases this year will contribute to a ‘first of its kind’ music video experience that draws inspiration from sci-fi horror and teen movies of the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s.

Piero Giramonti, General Manager Caroline/Harvest Records, said:

“We love what they do, are very proud to be their new music partners, and are looking forward to taking their music endeavors to new heights.”

Caroline’s local arm launched in 2013 with Tim Janes the General Manager and George Dalziel the Label Manager. Caroline Australia has partnerships with over 20 labels worldwide, including Handsome Dad Records, Spunk, Cooking Vinyl Australia, Fearless Records and Nuclear Blast.

The Industry Observer understands Caroline US license some repertoire just for North America and that Caroline Australia isn’t currently involved in this deal, but that may change.
